Helping poor and helpless neighbors is the practice of the teachings of Jesus Christ and the mission of Christians.
Today the church has declared “The Joys and the hopes, the grief and the anxieties of the men of this age, especially those who are poor or in any way afflicted, these are the Joys and hopes, the griefs and anxieties of the followers of Christ.”
(Section 1, The Pastoral Constitution, Second Vatican Council)
Just helping them and asking for the blessing of God is what we do and show faithfulness to Christ.
Today, many of the monks and priests in Korea are sent to other countries like foreign missionaries who our ancestors had welcomed in the past. Many laymen are trying to convey the blessing of God to the poor and sick brothers and sisters of other countries through sacrifice as sponsoring members.
The Philippines Joseph Clinic is also one of many places to convey God’s blessings.
